Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching MOOC: Enrol now
Course opens 12th July

Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching is a free teaching induction massive open online course (MOOC). Designed for those in their first few years of university teaching, it introduces higher education learning and teaching concepts and strategies through expert-developed modules and resources. Study is self-paced in two hour modules that can be completed over a semester. The MOOC can also be used as a just in time, just for you resource and used as and when needed.

This course is for you if you:
- are new to teaching
- would like to review topics to advance your teaching, e.g. scholarly teaching
- are interested in scoping modules for your institution’s professional development program (MOOC content is available to universities to share and adapt under a CC Attribution Share Alike license.)
- are a sessional, contracted or continuing academic.

The course is hosted by the Council of Australasian University Leaders in Learning and Teaching (CAULLT) and is led by A/Prof Agnes Bosanquet (Macquarie University) and A/Prof Marina Harvey.

The MOOC has been extremely successful with over 7000 colleagues enrolling from 106 countries. Thirty-four institutions from 11 countries have requested the MOOC content for their institution’s LMS.

ICED 2022 Conference - call for submissions

Call for abstracts for the ICED 2022 Conference

Sustainable Educational Development
May 31 - June 3, 2022
Aarhus, Denmark

ICED22 hybrid conference will address the role and responsibility of educational developers in coping with the UN's 17 Global Goals of sustainability. Apart from being one of the goals in its own right, education plays a pivotal role if the global goals for a sustainable future shall be achieved. Educational developers in higher education have a particular responsibility for educating the researchers, professionals, experts etc. to increase our understanding of challenges and propose solutions to move the goals forward.

ICED 2022 Conference invites presentations that relate to the theme. The conference has 4 formats: Poster, paper, Symposium & Workshop. The guidelines for each format are described separately at https://conferencemanager.events/iced22/abstracts. The deadline for submissions is October 1st, 2021. Some of the papers will be compiled in hybrid paper sessions. All the keynotes will also be available online.
