HERDSA’s golden jubilee is an opportunity to celebrate the life and times of a Society that has grown from an original three elected members in 1972 to over 800 members and hundreds more associates attending HERDSA events each year.

The HERDSA Executive are keen to record a wide range of voices to showcase the people who make up the Society. Working collaboratively within a team you will provide quality learning and teaching support to academic staff, provide professional development in teaching to enhance student learning, and provide support in the areas of scholarship of learning and teaching, professional learning and curriculum support. There will be emphasis on supporting ongoing and casual teaching staff to advance their learning and teaching, which will include focus on innovative curriculum design and renewal, pedagogies for engaging a diverse student cohort including blended and online learning and authentic assessment design.

While these roles are located at the Sunshine Coast campus, dual location arrangements between Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay maybe considered.

You will
- support and enhance the vibrant culture of scholarship in learning and teaching;
- coordinate professional learning programs including the Higher Education Academy (HEA) Fellowship Scheme and programs; and
- support the strategic development of learning and teaching.

This 'virtual coffee catchup' will take on a panel discussion format to explore the importance of flexibility in assessments to engage all learners.

The proliferation of learning technologies and tools coupled with increasing diversification of learner profiles and pathways through our courses provides the context for developing flexible assessment.
