We are excited to let you know that the new NSW branch of HERDSA is being officially launched this month! Come along to the launch event to connect with fellow members in NSW and hear about the plans we have to support higher education teaching in 2022 and beyond! There will also be plenty of opportunity for you to contribute to the plan of events.

A great opportunity exists to manage and supervise the Faculty of Business and Law's Learning Innovations team and support a strong team culture to achieve excellence in performance and high productivity.

The role of Associate Director, Learning Innovation is to lead the provision of advice and support for quality and innovation in the design and delivery of the Faculty units and courses to enable excellent student experiences and learning outcomes all while promoting teamwork and providing tailored coaching to enable individuals to deliver high quality solutions.

The Associate Director will have the capacity to make outstanding contributions to Deakin Learning Futures and the Faculty in teaching and learning in higher education and proven strategic academic leadership and expertise with particular focus on curriculum innovation, authentic assessment, and digital learning to support student success.

Job: Manager, Analytics and Innovation @ Deakin University

Join the Deakin Learning Futures Team as the Manager, Analytics and Innovation.

This role is responsible for providing support, advice and leadership to academics and the wider University in the use of learning analytics to enhance and innovate educational practices and the student experience.

The role will also analyse problems, weigh up a range of options to identify accessible and inclusive solutions and translate complex issues into clear and understandable goals.

You will have high level ability to develop, implement and evaluate modelling and approaches to ensure organisations have access to the best available information, analytics, systems and tools as well as support services to inform business decisions.

PhD Student Scholarship Position Available

Please pass this information on to any potential students who may be interested in undertaking PhD study in 2022.

The University of Wollongong is offering a PhD scholarship associated with the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project [DP210100164] titled ‘Investigating professional lives in the digital evolution of work’ under the principal supervision of A/Prof Shirley Agostinho.

This project seeks to understand how professions continuously learn and develop their knowledge (cognitive understandings; skills and capabilities; values, emotions, commitments) and dispositions throughout their careers in an evolving work context. This new knowledge will inform how professional learning can be designed and scaled to meet Australia’s growing demand for agile-skills development and lifelong learning. The PhD candidate will undertake a specific study within this broader project, to be decided with the team.

The successful candidate will receive an annual stipend of $28,854 (2022 rate) for the duration of the award. This will commence in 2022, and the duration of the award shall be for 3 years (full-time equivalent).

To be eligible, a student must have completed a Bachelor degree in education, social sciences, or a related discipline with a First Class Honours, or Masters by research degree. The student must intend on undertaking full-time study during 2022-2024.

Senior Employability Research Coordinator: Full time fixed term 6 months at the University of Sydney Business School

The Senior Employability Research Coordinator provides project, stakeholder and operational support to the Deputy Dean, Students and External Partnerships and project teams, coordinating the implementation and delivery of a broad range of activities and tasks in order to meet established milestones and deliverables. This role is responsible for providing project management support within a multi-faceted program of work, including establishing project teams, developing and implementing project plans, and preparing status reports in line with broader project governance requirements. The incumbent will manage multiple stakeholders and communications, ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork with other project teams and stakeholders across the University.
