Laurine has worked at Australian Catholic University since 1987, with a recent and enjoyable stint at RMIT.

Laurine taught science to health science and education students, then branched out into First Year Experience, Course Coordination and managed the staffing/workload/timetabling for a very diverse School, which all helped hone her logistic and problem-solving skills.

Laurine's first experience with conference coordination was as part of the 1999 Melbourne conference committee, and having enjoyed that so much she became a part of the Melbourne 2015 planning committee.

Staff professional development in learning and teaching is one of Laurine's favourite areas.
