Higher Education Research and Development
(HERD)

The HERDSA refereed journal Higher Education Research and Development is published three times yearly and has a strong international reputation. The central focus of the journal is teaching and learning in all its various forms (eg teaching as the facilitation of learning, teaching as the supervision of postgraduates), but papers on any aspect of the field of higher education are of interest.

Manuscripts
Please submit to the Editors as a Word email attachment through the HERDSA office: office@herdsa.org.au. Please do not submit your manuscript directly to the editors.
On submission of your manuscript you will receive an email of acknowledgement and following the email, a formal letter with your reference number included for any future correspondence. If you have not received the acknowledgement email within 3 days please contact the office.

Obtaining the journal

  1. Individuals receive HERD as a benefit of HERDSA membership (available to all interested).
  2. Institutions and libraries wishing to purchase HERD can do so by subscribing direct through the publisher Carfax Publishing.
