HERDSA Annual Conference
The annual international HERDSA
conference provides an opportunity to:
- meet colleagues with similar
interests
- exchange ideas about teaching
and learning
- learn about current developments
from experienced researchers and practitioners
This year the 2004
HERDSA Conference with a theme "Transforming Knowledge into Wisdom: Holistic
Approaches to Teaching and Learning " was held in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia, on
the campus of Curtin University of Technology, 4 - 7 July 2004. HERDSA members
are entitled to reduced registration fees and members who did not attend the
conference can purchase the proceedings
at a special price.
HERDSA conference proceedings are
published in the series Research and Development in Higher Education.
HERDSA Conference Prizes and Grants
HERDSA encourages new researchers
through two schemes:
- HERDSA Conference Grants for
postgraduate students
- HERDSA Prize for the best paper
presented at the annual confrence by a new researcher(s).
HERDSA Branches
Branches are currently active in
Queensland, Victoria,
South Australia, Western Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. For further details
you can contact your local convenor.
HERDSA Electronic Network
The Society's Executive has set
up a moderated electronic network for the use of all members, state and regional
branch members. You have the option to subscribe to the HERDSA list-server and
receive all posted notices relating to HERDSA activities.
